Principal

Dear ABCMSTS Families,

I am pleased to welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year! I extend a special welcome to all of the new families joining ABCMSTS this year and welcome back all of our returning families as well! I am honored to be your principal. My vision, as the principal, is to ALWAYS put students first! My belief is that all students can learn. All educators at ABCMSTS will work to discover how each student learn in order to differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles. In a collaborative effort, we want our young people to thrive in all ways possible. My hope is that all of our children will LOVE school and nurture a learning environment that is positive, safe, as well as a fun place to learn and grow.

Student success is attributed to the partnership and the relationships we build within our community and this is MOST important now more than ever. It truly does take a village at ABCMSTS. We value teamwork and collaboration! Education is a joint venture and the ABCMSTS team greatly appreciates the support you provide for your children at home and at school to help them meet their learning goals. I command our extraordinary sponsor, the Cummings Africa Foundation, for tirelessly investing in the school. We would not have many of the academic, extra-curricula programs and facility improvements that make ABCMSTS so unique and successful without them. With these continued supports, we will strive to exceed our reputation for excellence.

Although this year will be different than any other year, we are dedicated to providing your child(ren) a memorable, interactive, engaging learning experience. Our incredible PTA organizes and funds some of our most popular programs and activities. I encourage you to get acquainted and get involved. You will find the effort enjoyable and rewarding.

We hope you will find that ABCMSTS is truly a place where learning is joyful and students delight in coming to school.
Let’s make it a great year!

Warmly,Mrs. Cheryl Flah-Kiahon

I am an energetic Physician Assistant who has shown great
ambition and commitment in the line of my duty. I am very
supportive and serve as a reservoir of knowledge to my colleagues,
students, and friends alike.
In pursuant of my career objectives, I enrolled at the TNIMA in 2004
and graduated as a Physician Assistant (PA) in 2008 with high
honors (Cum Laude). I later earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) in
Sociology from the United Methodist University in 2014 and a
Master Degree in Public Health (MPH) from the Cuttington
University Graduate School in 2017. If I have the opportunity to go
back to school, I want to become a Pediatrician.
The nursing program at ABCMSTS main goal is to increase interest
in nursing and other medical fields as a career path among our
senior high school students, impact the nursing shortage in Liberia,
and subsequently improve the health sector of Liberia. Senior High
school students are exposed to various theory and clinical
experiences, diverse nursing roles, nursing skills laboratory
activities, and human simulation activities. Twenty-four (24) of our
senior high students now participate in the Nurse program as their
elective.
The program is designed to run for three (3) years. Upon completion
of their 3rd year of elective study, students will be issued a nursing
aide certificate of completion. 100% of our nursing students have
chosen to pursue careers in the medical field.
